That's the nice thing about the Centerforce clutch. It is a diaphragm but it has weights on the springs so that centrifugal force increases the clamping pressure as the RPM increases. I too have used the high force aftermarket clutches and was not happy. In addition, the extra force caused the tab on the clutch pedal to snap from fatigue (it's only held with two spot welds on the 68-72 cars). I strongly recommend having it fully welded to the pedal arm in any case.
