As far as I know, the cutout bumper was standard up to and includind 1971. In 1972 it was not part of the 442 package but could still be ordered. There are a lot of 442 replicas/clones out there, more than real 442's probably. I have seen many different years with the 442 badges without the other required equipment. You will even see 442 badges on the Supreme hardtop when the only supreme that could be a true 442 was the convertible. If you see the 71 again, look at the VIN if possible. If it starts with 344 it is a true 442. The 44 has to be there for 71 and back or it is not a factory 442.
