I just looked at my 72 Cutlass and I think I saw the bolt you are looking for. The one I am looking at is about 1 1/4 inches in the middle part that is not threaded. If you can't find the bolt (you probably) or as a temporary measure, I would take some threaded stock which you can get at any auto parts store or hardware store. Take a small piece of pipe and cut a sleve the length of the unthreaded portion, slide it on and then put the pump and nut on. I don't have mine apart but from what I can see, this should work.
