Amen to that! I'll confess that I actually have bought one brand new vehicle in my life (my 99 Chevy Crewcab Dually 4x4), but that's because I consider it more as a tool to fix my other cars.
In reality, I tried to buy a used one at the time, and the only ones I could find were only a few thousand dollars less than the new one. Of course it now has 200,000 miles on it and I'm trying to figure out how to do a smog-legal 502 swap.
I had a revelation recently when I realized that the newest vehicle I have today is both older and has twice as many miles on it as the 68 Vista Cruiser that I got as my first car in 1974.
I'm also looking for one of the T-shirts that were available a number of years ago that said "Hotrodders - the original recyclers".
