I think the highest was about 345 around 1969. You have to realize though that horsepower ratings were not, and still are not, consistent. The ratings are not measured the same way by all manufacturers, and the findings were "massaged" a little up or down to attain a desired objective anyway. The factory horsepower ratings mean very little to most people except as statistics on paper. You might try the 442.com faq section, I think they have a comprehensive listing.
