I have everything for an 8.5 corporate posi including new 3:42 gears and the install kit posi unit and pinion depth tool but am having a hard time finding a decent 71-71 cutlass corporate housing so i am going to sell all the parts. I just wanted to build up a spare rear end as i have a type O with 3:23 posi and wanted to step up to the 3:42s.
The axle shafts are actually retained with the pressed-on outer bearing. The four bolt flange retains the bearing to the housing. Also, the Type-O was actually built from mid-year 1967 through 1970. I personally pulled one from an unmolested 67 Cutlass parts car.
