Well, if you can be patient and just keep looking you should be able to find something more reasonable. I agree that you shouldn't have to pay near that for what he has. I watch the classifieds, especially the little nickel (local ad paper) and Craigslist. The good thing about Craigslist.com is the ads are free to post, so you may get someone just wanting to clean out the garage. I've bought the remains of three boat motors on Craigslist which provided good heads, two had standard transmisison flywheels, and one had low miles with 7 of the 8 pistons almost new

. So save your spare change, keep your eyes open, and when something good comes by you can snag it. John
