I think you are right that it is probably repairable. It may be wiser to weld a manifold that can be repaired than to trash it. These things are obviously scarce. We need not make them rare.

[Though about `69, I saw a shop in Texas welding a broken VW crank -- as in 2 pieces -- in a sandbox. VW cranks then were about $10. Now, they may cost you a dollar?]
