Good point, since 1975 was right around the time GM started to replace 8.5" rears with the 7.5" units and some TH350s with TH200s. If the Omega in question has the TH350 tranny and 8.5" rear end, it should be able to handle some decent power - a hell of a lot more than any 260 can dish out (sorry to jump on the 260-bashing bandwagon, but everything that's been said about it is true)! If it has the 7.5" rear and/or TH200 tranny . . . well, a healthy in-line six could probably blow 'em up.
