I'm installing a heated rear window in my 72 Cutlass S. Do you have the wiring and relay that goes from the back of the dash escutcheon to the firewall, and back to the rear window leads?

Do you have the factory style coolant overflow recovery tank and mounting bracket?

Last, if you have cruise on this car.....how much for the dash switch?

I have a "defog' in my 70 442 . ......it's a fan that blows air across the rear window . I was wondering when the "defrost" came on line .

My defog switch is on the heater/ac/defog panel ...

Do you have a disc brake master cyl? How nice are the front turn signal lenses? Arm rest pads? I have a '72 as well and looking for some bits and pieces.

Hey Mug,
there were 2 different kinds of rear window applications. The way Olds differentiated them was a Rear Defogger was the term for electrically heated rear window. Rear Defroster is the term for forced air over the rear window. Hope I got that right.

Don't know if 1970 was the first year for the Defogger, but the Defroster was available from way back. Anyone with electric rear window opton on their car from before 1970? Might have been there for the B C cars earlier?

I have both sets of faceplates (AC and Heater) that install in the dash. The electric window needs a special harness and relay from the dash switch. Cosmetically , the only difference between the Defroster is that you can select lo hi or off on the switch. For the Defogger, it's on or off and has a little light in between the on/off to show the circuit is active.

I think defog was for the condensation on 5the inside of the window, defrost for the frost that formed on the outside ...

Hey mug you're better off just getting a new one from the parts store. You don't need to worry about disk or drum brakes. I found out the hard way they just add on a master if you get one for disk brakes.
