Hey, Chris, If you're still following this thread, I found something I thought you might be intersted in. You know, trim parts and fasteners for these cars are hard to come by. I've hopefully attached a scan of the body style #3839 Sport Sedan exterior trim illustration from the Oldsmobile parts book. It gives the part numbers for the exterior side moldings and fasteners. I hope it is clear enough for you. I scanned another illustration for another forum member the other day and I thought it came out horrible, but he really found it useful.

Also, I did some checking on your production numbers. I think something got mixed up somewhere along the line. I didn't check on the internet to see where you might have seen the production numbers. The Cars of Oldsmobile lists the same base price ($4,083) and the same production figure (4,445) for both the '61 98 Sport Sedan and the 98 Holiday Coupe. That's probably where the figure you saw came from. The Standard Catalog of Oldsmobile, Setting the Pace, and multiple versions of The Encyclopedia of American Cars all list the same production number for the 98 Sport Sedan - 12,343.

Of course, that has no bearing on what a sharp car you have there.

Hope you find the scan useful.

Paul
